• Verify Ink Chemistries: Ensure you match the correct printhead variant to your ink formulation. Running eco-solvent or UV inks through an i1600-A1 (water-based) head can destroy internal manifold seals and cause immediate internal short-circuits.

• Inspect Head Flat Flexible Cables (FFC): Always examine flat ribbon cable contacts before plugging them in. Bent, misaligned pins or ink contamination on the ribbon contacts will short-circuit both the printhead motherboard ICs and the piezo drivers upon powering on.

• Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Safety: PrecisionCore MEMS actuators are sensitive to static electricity. Technicians must wear anti-static grounding straps during installation and verify the printer is completely powered down before connecting cables.

• Damper & Capping Maintenance: When installing a new printhead, inspect and replace dampers, wipers, and the capping top assembly to ensure proper vacuum seal, preventing nozzle drying and starvation.
