This printhead is the New Model (Encrypted) DX7 printhead introduced for printer control boards manufactured after late 2013 and 2014. Before ordering, verify the 3-letter prefix printed under the Head ID on your existing printhead:

• Starts with "Gxx" or higher: Your printer requires this New Model printhead.

• Starts with "Fxx" or lower: Your printer requires the Old Model (Unencrypted) printhead.

Installing the incorrect revision will result in board communication errors and failure to fire.

Technical Precision & Operational Advisory

• Solvent Compatibility: Built with solvent-resistant manifold materials designed specifically for eco-solvent and mild-solvent formulations. Not intended for UV, textile, or water-based inks unless configured by the OEM system manufacturer.

• Data Cable Replacement: It is highly recommended to replace all flat flexible head cables (FFC) when installing a new printhead. Aged, bent, or ink-contaminated data cables can transmit electrical short circuits that permanently damage internal printhead circuitry.
