• Capping Station & Damper Maintenance: Ensure that ink dampers, capping station seals, and wiper blades are thoroughly inspected, cleaned, or replaced when installing a new printhead. Worn dampers or contaminated capping tops can cause air ingress, ink starvation, and nozzle misfires.

• Data Cable Inspection: Inspect all flat flexible printhead data cables (FFC) prior to connection. Bent pins, shorted traces, or ink contamination on the cable ribbon connectors can permanently short-circuit the printhead or printer mainboard upon power-up.
